Aluminized Gloves
ALUMINIZED GLOVES FOR FOUNDRY AND WORK IN HIGH TEMPERATURE OVENS. PROTECT HANDS FROM HEAT AND SPLASHES. Aluminized carbon fleece is another fabric developed in response to the demand for lightweight, more flexible and comfortable primary protective clothing. At 12 oz. / square yard, this fabric can still pass the ASTM F955 pour test for both cast iron and aluminum, while providing comfort, reducing heat stress, and increasing productivity.
Even after aluminization, the fleece base fabric remains soft and flexible. Carbonized fibers mixed with rayon knit fleece form the basis of the aluminized carbon fleece. It is inherently flame resistant, protects against molten metal splashes, provides maximum temperature resistance, and will not burn, melt or ignite.
